Earache: The most common causes of acute ear pain are a typical ear infection (otitis media), which usually occurs in the context of a cold; fluid in the middle ear (serous otitis media), which usually occurs in the context of chronic allergies; and an external ear infection (otitis externa), called "swimmer's ear" but can occur in any damp environment. Of these only the fluid in the ear impairs hearing.

TMJ: The duration of symptoms and context are important hear. If the hearing is not impacted, then you can rule out just about any form of ear infection (middle or outer). If the pain is very brief and sharp and possibly related to chewing/yawning it could be your tmj. It could also be your eustachian tube; however, the basis for your question - is it related to loud music - no.
