Question about bipolar people: when someone is in a depressive episode what do you do to cheer them up?

Support: It is difficult to cheer someone up when they are very depressed. Be supportive and provide encouragement. Just knowing that they have someone to talk to can be a big help. Try inviting them on a small outing so they get out of their home. There are good support organizations such as nami.Org which have support groups for patients and family throughout the us. It may help both of you.
