Bipolar Disorder: Hi Elizabeth, the question to me is a diagnosis question. The large gap begs the question as to whether we have two separate conditions now; 1) Bipolar Disorder and 2) a single episode of depression. Rather than travel into speculation land, I would relay this information to the therapist and/or psychiatrist to get clarification and see whether an adjustment to the treatment plan is necessary.
