Brain damage: In a bad fall with brain injuries the symptoms typically develop within the first several minutes to hours, by 24 hours if there are no symptoms the risk is much less but not zero. Particularly in the older populations one can delayed findings such as chronic subdural hematomas which can develop weeks later.
