Plastic surgery is the surgical treatment of the skin and skin-related organs like the breast, the hand, facial structures and reconstruction and cosmetic surgery of these areas...And some minor medical treatments. So, if you need surgery - go see the plastic surgeon.

Surgery vs medicine: Historically speaking, plastic surgery is considered a surgical specialty, whereas dermatology was deems to be a medical specialty. These traditional borders have become blurred with each filed crossing into the other's "territory" . Nowadays, many of these practice the same procedures.
