Don't take it: It is a strong narcotic and if you do not need that med stop taking it. If you have pain , find out the cause of the pain and treat the cause and the pain will go away. Pin medication treats the symptom and not the cause.

Adverse effects: Drink plenty of fluid to help prevent constipation. Start a stool softener or laxative early to limit constipation. Take medicine with food on your stomach to help limit nausea. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Lortab side effects: Yes - just do not use the lortabs.- you have side effects. You could switch to a different brand as a test.
