Depends on the age: Babies who are younger than two years old generally are treated with nasal saline sprays because they are safest for the younger age group. In older children (over 2), nasal anti inflammatory sprays like Nasonex (mometasone) may be used. Sometimes these sprays are used off label for younger children as young as one year old.
