A member asked:

How can you find your medical records from when you were a kid?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Check sources: Physicians in my state are obligated to keep medical records on a kid until 7 years from their last visit or their 21st birthday, whichever is later. They are then destroyed. Important issues like a vaccination record can sometimes be retrieved from report cards or school records & some states keep a vaccine registry. You can contact a local medical society to see if a retired doc still keeps them.
