Inflammation: Tuberculosis infection causes chronic inflammation in the form of granulomas that invade normal tissue in the involved organ & cause it not function properly. For TB involving lungs, there is destruction of lung tissue causing difficulty in breathing, cough & respiratory failure. Bone TB causes destruction of bone tissue leading to weakening of bones. Spreads rapidly to other organs if not treated.
