Cholecystitis: Inflammation of gallbladder usually caused by gallstones blocking bile duct. Symptoms includesevere pain in upper right or upper middle areas of abdomen. Usually starts intermittently then becomes constant & severe. Pain sometimes referred to right shoulder-blade.Pain often follows eating fatty, greasy or fried foods. Nausea & vomiting common as is diarrhea.Liver under right rib-cage can be tender.
