Spreads via droplets: Tb infection generally spreads by droplets coughed out by an infected person which are then inhaled by people around them. Once those who inhaled infected droplets acquire the infection, they can either contain it (develop latent tb) or continue to develop active disease. There is no relation to food for the spread of mycobacterium tuberculosis.
