Will i need a tetanus shot if i stepped on sharp metal but it didn't go through my foot?

Depends on situation: The need is based on not having had a booster within 10 years and having a wound that broke the skin. If you had a booster or did not break the skin at all, you don't need one.

NO IF NO ENTRY: If you step on a sharp metal and there is no cut and the skin is intact. You do not need Tetanus shot. But if there is an entry wound(the metal entered the skin)then you do not need a Tetanus shot if your last booster shot was more than 5 years ago If there is no break in the skin than there is no risk of contacting Tetanus
