Phantom HCG: Besides the psychological disorder where women feel pregnant but they are not, there is also an interesting phenomenon where women test positive for pregnancy by blood, but are actually not pregnant. This is due to antibodies that give false positive blood tests. In these women urine pregnancy tests should remain negative.

False Pregnany: Some people believe they are pregnant so bad that they actually start swelling and having other signs of pregnancy. It is generally believed that false pregnancy is caused due to changes in the endocrine system of the body, leading to the secretion of hormones which translate into physical changes similar to those during pregnancy. The underlying cause is often mental. Hope this helps you!
