Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and thyroid: Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) will not increase the blood levels of thyroid hormone. But the stimulatory effects of Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) are similar to the stimulatory effects of too much thyroid. If your thyroid is normal, it is not an issue. But if you suffer from hyperthyroidism (eg. Graves disease, too much medication), then the combined effects of the disease and the Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) can be dangerous to your heart.
