A member asked:

Need doctor advice. where do they inject the needle when you get a breast cancer shot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info..: I am not sure what type of "shot" you mean. Chemotherapy is given intravenous usually through a vein in the arm or hand. Sometimes internal ports are placed into a major vein if chemotherapy is expected to be needed over a longer time. Other types of "shots" may be injected into the arm or buttock muscle.
