A member asked:

Exactly how much should blood pressure fluctuate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A lot, say 30 points: Pressure varies a lot throughout the day. When a person exercises, the pressure can normally go up from 110/70 to 180/90. Many people have higher pressure in the morning when they wake up and it goes down throughout the day. Pressure is lowest while sleeping, normal is <120/70. Expect the top number to vary by 30 points throughout the day, routinely.
