Can there be any surgery a teen could get to reverse diabetes?

No, except: Pancreas or islet cell transplant but because of risks involved, it is reserved for patients with very, very difficult to control diabetes or severe diabetic complications.

See below: There are two types of surgery being currently tried for type i diabetes. This is transplantation of a new pancreas, and transplantation of the islets in the pancreas (cells that make insulin) neither procedure has a great success rate. Research is ongoing.
