If symptomatic:: Black cohosh is an herb which may v hot flashes (avoid if there is liver illness). The lignans in flaxseed & flaxseed oil may help night sweats (flaxseed oil should be cold grinded). The plant Estrogens in red clover may help with mild menopausal symptoms (contraindicated with either breast or uterine cancer). Discuss options with your physicians.

A couple more: I agree with dr. Fowler's suggestions. In addition, you want to be sure you're getting enough calcium -- for women 19-50, 1000mg/day in food & supplements; for 51 and older, 1200 mg/day. The best form is food -- yogurt, cheese, tofu, sardines, salmon, and leafy greens like collards. Dried sage leaf can help with hot flashes: 500mg 2 times/day, in capsule or tablet form.
