Appendectomy: By itself is not a common cause of diarrhea. Your surgeon should look for another cause such as infections. Consult with him regarding you diarrhea for specific advice on what to do.

Antibiotics: Antibiotics can be a source or cause of diarrhea. Try eating yogurt or take probiotics. If the diarrhea persists for more than a few days, or if associated with increasing abdominal cramping and fevers, call your surgeon.
