A member asked:

If a young child had a guinea pig who had mycoplasma, could that be passed on to the child?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mycoplasma: Mycoplasma is usually spread by droplet infection if your child is playing with an infected guinea pig, and does not wash his hands well after the play, he could develop a mycoplasma infection. Tell him not to bring his hands to his mouth without washing well.
