Docs, usually how long is someone with bad epilepsy expected to live?

Epilepsy: If there is not a progressive/secondary condition causing the epilepsy, such as brain tumor, stroke, brain aneurysm, etc., then the life expectancy can be expected to be normal as long as the epilepsy is controlled as much as possible. Uncontrolled epilepsy can certainly lead to a shortened lifespan.

I have had 3 EEGs, all showed no epilepsy but they all showed that I got lots of theta waves. Even when they tried to provoke an epilepsy seizure my brain had theta waves. All over the brain. Why? Docs says they don't know?
