A member asked:

I'm wondering if i go to the doctor to check if i have uti, will the doctor definitely examine my vagina?

Not necessarily: Unless you are having frequent or recurring infections, it may suffice to just give a urine specimen for urinalysis and culture.

No: It's very unlikely that you will need an exam. Simply checking your urine with a dipstick is all that will be required to diagnose a UTI if you are having symptoms.
