Can you let me know how many weeks does it take to a newborn to be able to see?

They see at birth: Babies are born nearsighted by adult standards but can see clearly up to about 12 inches. They are not likely to show recognition or extended gaze until later, often glancing away when they have had their limit looking in one direction.
