A member asked:

How long is it supposed to it take for the eyes to adapt to darkness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Quick and slow: There is a neurological adaptation which takes less than 2 minutes and will get you by in most circumstances. There is a chemical adaptation which can take 20 minutes which gets you to the most sensitive level. All this assumes you have no problems with normal dark adaptation.
