Can chicken pox be just in one or two areas without spreading to other areas?

No: Chicken pox is an initial varicella viral infection that spreads through-out the body and causes the wide-spread blistering rash. However , a more localized form is referred to as 'shingles' or zoster and that is a reoccurrence of chicken pox.
