No personality trxp: We are often asked about personality changes after organ transplantation. I have talked to hundreds of these patients and have never documented specific changes in personality traits. Personality is primarily housed in the brain which cannot be transplanted at this time. Certainly, people experience intense emotions around the time of transplant, but it is unlikely these are related to the organ.
