What can be done to stop my husbands' tongue from blocking his throat when he sleeps?

Appliance: He needs an appliance that brings the jaw forward and opens the airway. There are several that do it. If the cheaper ones don't work well, have a dentist make a orthopedic applicance called a bionator (most comfortable and works great).
