Rule of thumb: Any swelling, pain, and/or as in your case bleeding, requires immediate examination. Start with your Dentist. Your Dentist may want to refer you on to an Oral Surgeon, Periodontist, ENT, or Gastroenterologist depending upon your initial examination's results. In addition to examination you may require lab tests and/or I'm aging.
