Skin cancer : Ultraviolet radiation will cause mutations in the dna of the skin cells leading to skin cancer.

DNA damage : The ultraviolet rays in sunlight damages the dna in the cells in your skin including epithelial cells and melanocytes. Over time with chronic exposure the dna damage accumulates in important genes and the cells begin to grow out of control and become a skin cancer.
