Pinworms: Sounds like possible pinworms. Kids ingest the eggs under their nails. The white string like worms come out to lay their eggs on the rectum. Albendazole or Mebendazole is the treatment.

Parisite: Possibly a parasite such as ring worm. Please see your Pediatrician. Stool sample, or the object itself, may be required for examination.
