Yes: If this is a sensitive troponin i or t then any result above 0.04 or 0.01 respectively should be viewed as indicative of myocardial cell leak or death. Can happen in mi and other states (see tags). Certainly a level of 5 in one of these modern (post 2009) assays should be viewed as positive - reflecting potential heart cell loss. If confirmed by ECG and/or echo, coronary angio should be considered.
