A member asked:

After an ivf procedure, how is it that you can still be pregnant but have a period? would it be a semi normal period or the usual heavy one?

Not normal: You don't have a menstrual cycle if you are pregnant. This is bleeding during pregnancy and may signify a possible miscarriage or problem with the pregnancy. Or simply it will resolve on its own and everything will be ok. It's likely your doctor would want to know this asap and do an ultrasound at the appropriate gestational age.
