A member asked:

I have concretion (sand like particles) not kidney stone, can it cause pain in the back, side, hip, urinary blader and penis area? how long it heals up

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: "stones" in the kidney are not usually the large "staghorn" type people think of. You usually have to use a strainer or tea bag to filter your urine in order to capture the "stones." therefore, you certainly may have kidney stones. Until they pass, the pain may be there. There are other things which may cause pain in addition to stones, so make sure that is what you have.
