Trying to diagnose a kidney stone. i have sharp pain in right side hip/buttocks area. no problem urinating and i don't see any blood in urine?

You need to: see a doctor, because your symptoms could be something else even more serious. Kidney stones, depending on location, cause severe pain in flank or groin, usually not in hip or buttocks. It also typically causes microhematuria, not visible to the eye.
