Sounds like Sciatica: ...But, how long had this been going on? Any trauma history? Weakness? Lots of questions that a good physical exam and some imaging studies should answer. Normal aging can provoke all kinds of complaints that usually respond to simple treatments. I'd see my doctor if i was concerned.
