Can hcg hormone levels double even if it's not a viable pregnancy? my levels were 41, 200 at suppose to be 6 week 4 days. couldn't see heartbeat. got bloodwork done and levels doubled. what's goin on

Beta HCG: This seems not to be a viable pregnancy. Yes, the HCG can still increase if you are carrying a pregnancy, viable or not.

Repeat sonogram: The sonogram is going to be more important at this point than the bhcg. Bhcg levels can vary widely. You should have a repeat sonogram next week. By that point a fetus with a heart beat should be visible. Viability will be determined by sonogram not bhcg levels.
