Conservative & surg-: Ical, depending on the severity. Initially non-operative means are used to control pain, like nsaids, stronger pain meds if the nsaids do not fully take care of controlling the pain; splints to stabilize and reduce symptoms help. Any associated problems are treated. Surgery maybe in form of joint replacement, or fusion, and treatment of any other problems.
