I've heard that runners should wear synthetic underwear, but i'm prone to yeast infections. will the synthetic fabric be an issue or is cotton better?

Breatheability: Cotton will hold moisture and keep you wet. New breatheable materials are far superior than cotton in that respect. Make certain that you change into clean dry underwear as soon as you are done running, don't let them dry on you.
