For this acute: Problem, use a suppository or if it is ineffective an enema. If not effective, try laxative. All of these are available otc. If no result, get medical help. If this is a chronic or recurrent constipation problem, consult a doctor to exclude medical causes for it. It might be something as simple as improper diet, medication side effect, or something serious as tumor.
