Good news: In women, it can be normal to have a small amount of fluid in the pelvis, usually from a ruptured ovarian follicle. Sometimes, radiologists report something like "no significant free fluid in pelvis" instead of saying "there is physiologic free fluid", or "there is a small amount of free fluid". Any way you say it, it means there is no concerning amount of fluid to have to further investigate!
