Yes slightly higher: Unfortunately slightly higher ( 2.7% ) beyond 50 yr age range no difference. Most of the time it is connective tissue , and brain tumors, other malignancies no significant difference compared to normal population..

Increased risk: The lifetime risk of cancer developing in a person with nf1 is estimated to be about 7%. Benign neurofibroma turns into cancerous form called sarcoma invades nearby structures and sometimes metastasizes to other regions of the body. These tumors usually develop in adolescents and adults.Also increased risk of leukemia, brain tumors, and breast cancer.
