A member asked:

What is chronic neuropathic related to radiculopathy?

Translation ?: Sounds like an EMG result. The EMG can determine whether there has been nerve damage for 0-3, 3-6 or more than 6 months. Chronic damage refers to weakness or numbness lasting more than 6 months, radiculopathy refers to where the damage is located- e.g. the nerve root. Normally it is a nerve root from the neck or the lower back which affects an arm or a leg, respectively. Hope that helps.

Spine: Radiculopathy infers that the symptoms are coming from an irritation of a nerve root in the spine, chronic means it has been going on for quite some time (as opposed to acute).
