Possible acid reflux: May causes of sore throat & cough that come and go. Can be associated with difficulty swallowing. You don't have to have heart burn. Other symptoms include a hoarse or scratchy voice, bad breath, burping. Diet might contain acidy food, too. You could also have an infectious problem/lingering virus or untreated strep infection. Would see a doctor if persists for more in depth evaluation.

Hi, I have been feeling unwell for the last 4 days. on/off fever, cough with thick and yellow phlegm, runny nose, hoarse voice and sore throat with difficulty swallowing.
