Mole: Moles in the eyes should be carefully measured and followed by an ophthalmologist using special equipment to ensure there is no melanoma present.

Benign growth: A number of people have a benign growth termed a pigmented nevus underneath the retina in the back of the eye. It is a random sort of thing and usually not a problem. You will be observed for changes in these over time for the rare occurrence of melanoma.Unless that happens, there will be no effect of these on the vision.
