Good idea: to observe , few pigmented moles transform to malignant type the serious melanoma , where size of mole increases , intensity of pigmentation changes ,some tomes will have ring like pigmentation with a hallo , then will need excision biopsy. Second choice simple removal histological analysis (biopsy ) then you don't have to worry. Speak to your doctor and you want it out.

Hello, I recently had a mole on my back removed by a dermatologist and biopsied. Post biopsy they cut in and remove it all but didn't explain the paperwork to me. I read it today and saw it says p16 positive. What does this mean? Is this HPV related?
Moderate atypia mole removed. My dermatologist said no worries as worry only about high dysplasia moles in which we take more tissue to be cautious???
