My 7 month old swallowed a piece of candy aluminum wrapping.

It happens: If the kid can swallow fluids without choking the foreign material made it into the stomach. It will travel through the system over the next 3-5 days with no problems. I wouldn't bother looking for it although it may show up easily. If the kid is choking with all fluids have it seen.

Choking risk: At this age a 7 month old should not be given anything that they can choke on. There should be no candy, nuts, solid pieces of meat etc until he /she is able to chew and coordinate without aspirating. Please check for respiratory symptoms in particular, including drooling.
