Help is available: Depression is a fairly common condition. About 1/7 americans suffer from it at some time in their lives. Please try not to blame yourself or feel embarrassed. Find a local psychiatrist or psychologist via the internet or the phonebook, or call your nearest hospital. You could also call one of the national suicide prevention & crisis hotlines 8002738255 or 8007842433. Get help soon. Good luck!

It's ok.: Please try not to be embarrassed. All of us need a little extra help from others at some point in our life. From your description, this is negatively impacting your quality of life. A good place to start is with a doctoral level clinical psychologist for a comprehensive assessment & therapy. The psychologist can let you know if medications are indicated or not. Take care.
