Maybe not; and yes.: After taking plan b, the medication should work to prevent pregnancy. However, if worried, one can do a urine pregnancy test in another 10 days (about 3 weeks after sex). Generally, a woman can keep on taking her birth control pills, finishing the current packet and then starting the next packet.
