I'm 23 and hsg showed bilateral hydrosalpinx. can this be fixed with out having ivf? why do i have this? no record of infections.

Variable: Many things can cause the tubes to be dilated however infection is the most common. Some women may have had an infection and not know it. Other causes include history of a ruptured appendix, endometriosis, pelvic adhesions from prior surgery or abdominal infections. Attempts can be made to repair the tubes but success is low about 20% at 2 years (pregnancy rate). Ivf is a better option.
