See below: Follow with your rheumatologist regularly to make to that you disease is under control to make sure that it does not progress. Maintain a healthy weight as being overweight on weight-bearing joints can cause more joint damage. The onset of rheumatoid can occur can occur acutely or it can be a gradual process.
